I’m Freezing Up North!

Here it is, yet another winter day in Michigan. Global warming is bringing the most snowfall to these parts as I have seen in many, many winters. It started Dec. 1 and, except for a brief thaw a few weeks ago, has continued pretty much unabated.

Last winter, temperatures in January and February were about as cold as I’ve ever seen them, and for weeks on end. I can remember coming into the office day after day, starting my computer, and seeing Weatherbug temperatures of 2 degrees, and 3 degrees, and 7 degrees—days on end of single digits. Chalk it all up to global warming, of course.

This year is a little warmer, but not by much. We are having our typical week-after-week of below freezing temperatures, although it will be in the 40’s the next couple of day (normal January thaw); but then it’s right back to the teens and 20’s (normal January temperatures).

I can’t wait until Al Gore gets global warming under control so that we can finally get out of the winter deep freeze and get back to some normal warmer winters. Oh, and while Al is at it, maybe he can do something about all of the hurricanes and tornados, and fires, and mudslides, and stuff. There’d be a lot of people around the country who’d sure appreciate it. Just a thought.
