Pier Pleasure

We took a long walk on a very long pier yesterday. Actually, the pier wasn’t so long, but the pathway leading up to it went on forever, and we enjoyed every single step along the way.  It was great to get out into a warm and very sunny early spring day.  This is the weather that we live for during the long, cold, depressing Michigan winter.

Yesterday had about as much sunshine as I think we have seen around here since last September or so.  My one regret was my failure to remember to take a baseball cap with me when we left the house.  And I have continued to regret that all day today.  My forehead looks and feels like someone set a hot iron on it and walked away to get lunch.  But I suppose that is just part of the price to pay for a wonderful afternoon of soaking up radiant sunshine, breathing in crisp, fresh air, and being renewed in spirit by such a pleasant Michigan spring day.
